Long Haul Trips: Carry On Items

WHAT I THOUGHT I NEEDED

Prior to my five week trip to Europe I did extensive research of what I needed to survive such a long plane adventure. The flight from LAX to Copenhagen is a lofty 11 hours, not awful but for someone with moderate claustrophobia and anxiety I didn't expect it to be a breeze. There were the obvious things like passport, headphones, neck pillow, etc. But most of the posts suggested things that I found to be completely unnecessary for example under eye cream brighter and face moisturizer.

WHAT I ACTUALLY NEEDED

Lysol wipes are completely necessary not only on just long haul flights, but EVERY flight you take. According to Travel + Leisure tray tables are the dirtiest place on an airplane. I also wipe down the armrests and TV screens, but then again I'm a bit of a germaphobe. Sure I may have gotten some odd looks from fellow travelers but it's better to be safe than sorry.
